Have a defective dash panel. Anybody used a company called Chipgods cannock staffs and received good results or otherwise. www.chipgods.com. Since i will be sending this item from Cyprus to be repaired I am anxious to learn about good/ bad experiences of others before chosing a repairer. Many thanks in anticipation.

I have recently also had this problem. My dash flickered for about a week, then went completely blank. I contacted my local renault service centre and have now had it replaced for £100. Renault know there is a problem with any 2004-2005 instrument panels and so foot the rest of the bill to replace. It came back with 0 miles on the clock, but they also sent a letter confirming the last recorded mileage from my last MOT, and that it has been reset due to a genuine error. This should suffice for any further potential buyers when I sell it on in years to come. Very satisfied with the Renault service.

Hello, DO NOT GET DASH REPAIR DONE - DOESNT LAST!! Contact main dealer, Renault have had to stump up most of the money for dash replacements on the scenics due to excessive complaints and even an appearance on Watchdog! Once confirmed that dash is faulty (which, 99/100 are) they will replace instrument panel with new one. Customer pays £100 contribution towards repair which also gives 1yr warranty on new part - Renault cover remaining £500 via extended warranty or goodwill scheme. The only downside is that your mileage will be reset to zero, however local dealer should give you report on headed paper (providing mileage is still visable, if not take recent MOT cert as proof) to state approximate mileage at time of panel change. Honestly, do not waste your time on any kind of repair... Hope this helps!
