I have a GE electric dryer that will not heat to dry clothes?

When I turn on the dryer it will run but it will not generate any heat to dry my clothes. The belt is still hooked up and the drum turns and the timer works but it will just not heat. The style of dryer I have is Model Number DDG7189VSLAD the new style of dryer. Can you tell me how to fix this problem

Have you checked the heating element? When they get hot they are very fragile, even a thump on the side a the dryer can beak a hot element (personal experiance). To replace it you will have to disasemble the dryer, remove the drum and the belt. Give yourself plenty of work space. Call your local appliance repair shop and give them the make and model # and if they don't have the part they can get it.Follow the installation instructions that come with the heating element exactly or it can cause over heating witch leads to a whole new problem.Don't let that scare you the instuctions are very simple.Take care and I hope this helps.
