Can Beko washing machine WM5100W be fixed?

Hi,

My Beko washing machine (model WM5100W) has given up. The progamms can be selceted fine and switched on, but the drum won't go round anymore. It's not stuck, as it can still be turned manually. I think one of the straps at the back has snapped, but could be wrong.

Any advise on how to fix this would be much appreciated.

remove the back panel and see if the belt is still on

Replace the motor brushes. Cheap and fairly easy to do. Buy them (2) off ebay or your local domestic appliance repair place.
