How to fix Candy Grand GOC-218 condensor tumble dryer?

Hi,

My tumble dryer stops mid cycle saying that the water tank is full (when it isn't) and will not restart. It may restart that same day or it may take a couple of days.

It sounds like the sensor for the water tank has gone to appliance heaven but the appliance engineer I had around to look at it, simply shook his head and said I needed to get a new tumble dryer. Is this true?

The clean filter light won't turn off. The tumble dryer still works but won't dry the clothes. We have cleaned out all the filters to no avail. Can you help.

The water sensor has gone in my candy condensor dryer is it expensive to replace and fix? please

Hi, yes i had the same problem - and it turns out the water tank's inlet valve was blocked with fluff. After removing the plastic tank from the dryer, I removed the valve which connects the tank to the dryer (it just prised off the tank with a couple of flat-head screwdrivers), cleared it of fluff, clipped it back onto the tank, pushed it back into the dryer, and all is good! Sorry to hear you were mis-advised.

when this happened to us all e had to do was clean the valve between the water tank and the machine. It was bunged up with a bit of fluff meaning that the water could not get in quickly enough to no activate the sensor.
