question is how do you know it is that switch thats the prob.?
take it your fan not kicking in! right? so is it ok when you are driving the car? you'll be shocked to know how often the fan does kick in! depends on if you do more town driving then motor way or doing a lot of stopping & keeping engine running so heres to check it just in case you only guessing right.....
run the engine & the pipe under the inlet manifild (back of engine) which should be metel then with the engine in front of you & you looking at the engine on the right side you will have a rubber pipe coming off the metel pipe going to radiator (top right) keeping am eye on the temp guage not letting it go in the red!!! that pipe should get hot within time but if it dont get hot & temp guage goes too high then it could be your thermostat? but if it dont get hot then post back in here will go from there if it does get hot & radiator does get hot then well you will be right but you still might not need a new switch on the left of the radiator you shud see 2 wires going to a switch yeah? then join them together but only temp tho if the fan still dont come on then it could well be a new fan but do all the above & let me know & go from there ok? oh & if the fan does come on when you bypass the wires when you join them together unbolt the switch carefully & if you lucky might be all blocked up! clean all the muck (if any) then refit or to be on safe side get new one
