how do i replace the wing mirror glass on an 07 transit?

need to change the glass on my 07 transit van after it was smashed

just lever off the old glass,when fitting new,locate the four lugs onto the adjuster ring and press on,but apply pressure at the centre of the glass

its stuck on,remove old one clean the base then peel the back of the new one and push into place
