it may be that there is a fault on motor or heating element going down to earth.(would require qualified person to electrically measure this).or maybe you have it plugged into a socket with other heavy load devices ie heater,washing machine,or dishwasher.if latter is correct try drier on a socket with nothing else plugged in to that socket as well.
