baxi bahama 100 noise and faults?

I have a baxi bahama 100 that has not been serviced for 5 years as i have recently moved in and every time i put the heating on there is a really loud vibrating noise it sounds like the fan there is also a quiet kettleing sound and a horrible high pitched noise that rings through my house a bit like water hammer noise any ideas ?
also there is another problem when the hot water tap is run and turned off quickly the boiler does not fire up again and has to be turned off an on by the main power switch any help would be much appreciated

The loud noise is the fan and this can be cured by wedging in a suitable piece of metal between the fan housing and it's adaptor plate. The kettling is fairly normal and will go if you turn down the temperature setting. This can be reduced by flushing with a cleaner. The hot water shuttoff problem is down to either: 1, the HW flow switch (common for these to fail intermittent on the Baxi Bahama) or you have the old SIT board where a hard turn off seems to lock in a solenoid and it needs a reset. the old board has been updated twice since the model was introduced.
