How can i fix my heater on a ford mondeo mk2 2 r reg?

The heater in my car blows out cold air at variable speeds but does not get hot?

Does anyone have a solution?

The heater matrix may be blocked and needs flushing out. Is the car getting hot, i.e. temperature gauge rising, if not the thermostat may need replacing.
