Beko DWD5410 dishwasher making drain noise but wont start?

Hi,
My dishwasher will make a noise like it's draining when i start any cycle but it wont go any further, after a few seconds it stops. I have tried some other advice like tip it backwards and i've tried resetting it but nothing works so far. Please help!!
thanks

We had this problem. I took the bottom plastic cover off (it unsnaps from underneath) then the large metal front door panel (screws on the inside edge of the door). Then the metal cover at the bottom of the machine (be warned that it has two Torx T15 screws in it so you'll need a suitable star-shaped screwdriver). In our case, one of the plastic pipes (I remember it being the upper one of two on the right of the machine) had simply come off the pump and was presumably draining some water into the bottom of the machine (which causes the flood switch to activate). I pushed the pipe back on and put it all back together and it was fine after that.

hold the drain hose over a bucket and start a program and see if water comes out
could also be a faulty flow switch/water counter which is at the back connected to the inlet valve hose.need to take top off and left side panel to get access to the flow switch/water counter
