dell 1600n printer?

My dell 1600n printer keeps showing paper jam when printing.To clear the problem I have to open the door and close it again. The paper does not feed through to the out tray untill this is done for every print job.Can anybody help please.

Print is very very light. I have changes the ink Cartridge and replaced the print drivers--still too light
