I have a sony vaio laptop, model PCG-7A2L and the keys on the keyboard will not work right! They are all in a "short cut" mode. ex. pressing a letter will not display a letter, they either carry out a function or display random symbols or groups of letters.

Run a antyvirus on the conputer and i would recomend baking up your data on to 3 disks so that way you can for mat the computer if nesecary

Check to see if the ALT, CTRL or SHIFT keys are stuck down. Has it had a drink spilled on it ? If not, the internal cable could be loose. You will need to get it repaired by a techie in either case (unless you fancy taking it apart yourself). Try using an external USB keyboard for now.
