I have an old ( approx 1978 ) cannon gas miser, Windsor model, 3 elements Can anyone confirm the total output, I think it could be one and a half kw.
Also where i might get new elements Walsall/ B'ham areas

The cannon miser had several versions, so its impossible to give you an accurate output unless you give the exact model, I'd guess about 5 or 6 Kw not 1.5.
However, the radiants will definately be obsolete.
Now, why don't you go and buy a new fire for Christ's sake?
Its 32 yrs old!!
Get a grip, get a new fire and use some common sense!!
