fitting door seal gasket?

servis m6012w washing machine,having trouble trying to fit the rear retaing ring on the gasket

Should be straight forward on these.Just need lots of patience.UNPLUG m/c and remove lid to give you more room to see.With m/c tilted back about 45 degrees and seal in place,use both hands to squeeze band together(may take several attemps)to fit retaining screw.Hope this is of help....remember lots of patience...
