my engine on my 1.4i corsa swing l reg is overheating quite badly how can i fix this and is it expensive?

first check to see if the electric fan cuts in when its hot if thats ok remove the thermostat ,if it still overheats ,which it proberbly will the head gasket is failing .
Due to it having an alloy head ,(which will warp very easily when overheating )the head will need to be refaced (skimmed)
