Citreon C5 2003 HDi 2.0 Diesel?

Hi, diesel is coming out of the fuel return, i think the tube has a split. if i order a new 'hose' is it simple to fit?

go to a motor factors and ask for a length of leak off hose,if the split is right at the end there may be enough length to clip off the split and use whats there
