The first test is to check that the power is getting to the pump, if there is power there and the pump is not turning and pumping out the water the spin will not work disconnect the pump and test for open circuit, if OK remove the pump and check for any thing jamed inside the pump stopping it from turning, a bra wire has been known to make it's way down into the pump, hope this helps.
