How do I turn answerphone off. Somehow its turned on, we don't know how to read messages and we can't get to phone in time to catch the call. We need to switch it off

press the clear/mute button to bring up the TAD symbol press the 8 button to change from on to off
retrive messages if it ever works press the clear/mute button toget to TAD then press 2 to listen 9 to clear - but dont hold your breath
