Electric starter is not getting power?

I have an MTD riding lawn mower in which the starter will not turn on and the solenoid will not click. I replaced the solenoid and had the starter motor rebuilt.
If I put a jumper from the positive terminal to the starter the electric motor, it rotates properly. I have no power to the red wire that attaches to the starter motor. All ground connections are good.
I checked the fuse, it's OK. I'm out of ideas. Any help that can be suggested would be appreciated.

Thank You,

Randy

did you check all of the safety switches should be one on the seat and on somewhere on the drive line they have to be in the closed position to get power

Bad key switch or wiring to the key switch would be my guess.

Sounds like you have a faulty ing switch .......mine went bad so I just put in a toggle switch for starter ....check solenoid by jumping the 2 battery cables at the sloenoid ,,,,it should crank
When I did mine it was a Sunday and lawnmover store was closed so I made do with togle switch ...
good luck not much to it just follow current ....
