Door sensors not working on my Veritas 8C!!?

I have a Veritas 8C fitted and my lovely husband accidently scraped the wire leading to my back door sensor and now it won't arm that zone, just making the tamper beeps. How do we fix it? Is it as simple as taping over the exposed wire?

Also, the sensor on my front door has just stopped working - do I just need to replace it? Desperate as both doors will not arm and I have 3 little ones and I use the chime devise. Hope this is enough info.

Help please x

Thanks to you both, been really helpful. The doors are on seperate zones so I will just replace the sensors and get the back door re-wired.

Thanks again

you also may find that the two doors are on the same zone,so if the cable has been damaged then both doors are not seen by the panel,so get cable fixed before you start hitting glass switches.

I would strongly advise getting the wire properly repaired.
The door contact is probably sticking internally. You'll possibly be able to temporarily get it working by giving it a sharp tap, but ultimately it'll need swapping.
It'll be worth getting the whole system properly serviced.
