White Knight Sensor dry 447 not heating. How to fix?

Fifteen months old dryer has stopped heating. I`ve checked all the connections - they`re ok and the red button at the back is not "out". Is it the heating element ( and how do I get to it to check?) or is it the thermostat ( and where is this and how do I check? ). Are spares easily obtainable and what cost?

these are fairly simple machines, get a mains tester screwdriver from poundland with a battery and led in it, UNPLUG THE MACHINE and test from the live pin to the other side of the fuse, follow the live (brown) wire to any connectors you find, the thermal cutout, sensor dry thermostat (if fitted) and the heater connections in turn, then from the other end of the heater to the neutral pin - if the controller is faulty buy a new dryer, otherwise all parts are fairly cheap and readily available on the web

Hi,

I have the same problem and think it might not be the heating element but I'm unsure of what else could be wrong. It does heat up after about 60 mins, probably the motor heat!

I'm trying to find a manual without success so far, the manufacturers do not answer email or phone calls, but I have found a web site store that does sell all the parts, please see, http://www.espares.co.uk/bin/venda?ex=co_wizr-xapian&step=xapian&curstep=xapian&mode=¶m1=4¶m2=&check=&trrfnbr=&wizard=&trrfext=&curparam1=3&bsref=cometspares&searchex=&xptpl=wz_xapian_keyword&xpcache=1&columns=1&searchargs=&morelike=&reflike=&srchopt=A%2CD%2Cxptpl%2CE%2CB%2CU&itemsperpage=10&searchpage=&searchinvt=1&searchstry=&searchicat=&bsref=cometspares&searchcat=&threshold=10&A=Tumble+Dryers&A=Tumble+Dryers&A=Tumble+Dryers&D=Cl447wv&D=Cl447wv&D=Cl447wv&B=Manufacturers&B=Manufacturers&B=Manufacturers&U=White+Knight&U=White+Knight&U=White+Knight&carryfields=A%2CD%2Cxptpl%2CE%2CB%2CU&A=Tumble+Dryers&D=Cl447wv&xptpl=wz_xapian_keyword&E=&B=Manufacturers&U=White+Knight

If you find the manual please email me at chris@brightergraphics.co.uk
