does a 1988 celebrity have any kind of shift solenoid?
i have an 88 celebrity that was parked about 6mos. i cranked it up and drove it. everything fine for about 5 miles. then after that it dont want to grab and lock into 3rd gear. 1st and 2nd are good, dont slip at all but going into 3rd it dont want to grab and hold. it just slips. i dropped the pan and checked, the screen not stopped up and there are no broken pieces or metal shavings at all in bottom of pan. 1st and 2nd shift so good i was thinking maybe it is an electrical problem?
