dyson says no, their is a spring thing init that will rust out ... but i have done it.. i only did it once but in reality their is no need it just gets dirty again and if your useing hard water the minerals will just build up and might mess with how the cyclones work.
u can however wash the clear bucket the cyclone assembly sits in. in fact dyson says to do that after your done with it... also washing filters once every 3 months.
