clutch?

i have a c reg trafic camper. the book says the 1.7 has a cable clutch. mine has a liquid pressure one. the cylinder on the gear box end is not leaking nor the pedal. i have pushed the clutch lever directly on the gearbox and the clutch disengages but it wont via the foot pedal. gearbox slave isnt leaking so why no pressure. (i think its the pedal slave) addvice plz

cant see it being slave cyl, there is only a piston in it only fault with it is leaks|it,s more likely to be master cyl this has a valve in it which is possibly not closing, therefore not holding pressure.

does the pedal have any resistance?if not you will probably have air in the system and you could try bleeding the clutch, top up m/cyl.get someone to press pedal 4 or 5 times and hold down to floor then open up bleed nipple slowly and see if you get any air out, catch the fluid in a duster,if not successful it may need a pressure bleeder
