How to fix gear knob on Mercedes A Class?

The gear knob on my Mercedes A140 has suddenly come loose. How can I fix it back on, please? (It has a gaiter fixed to the knob, too).

I fixed it myself. Just thump it down into position and it tightens up nicely. I must have pulled it upwards, or maybe it was lose when I bought the car on 13 November. Anyway, it was very easy to re-fit.
