My media player gives an error message that reads "cannot find media" when I insert a cd or try to rip a cd? I am running Windows 7. ERROR CODE 11097

It looks like the CD-Rom or DVD-Rom laser may be disconnected, broken, missaligned or it's lense to dusty.

Try to remove the dust with compressed air, or very gently with a VERY SOFT brush like a new artist's brush.

If it's missaligned or broken, then you need professional help.
