How can I stop Rogue Dialers?

My daughter recently went on a music web site and without knowing blessed me with a £150.00 phone bill for the month. Apparently she went on to a Rogue Dialer site and this redirects our Free ISP dialer to a Super Premium Dialer without you knowing. Is there any way to stop this happening? (Our phone company were not very helpful, but they were glad of the money) I havent had this months phone bill yet.....
Many thanks

My son did the same.
Telephone b.t and they will issue a code to bar premium rate numbers that will prvent this in future.
Another thing is download free antispyware programme from microsoft.

The problem is that Internet Explorer allows code (and malicious code) to run.

There is useful information here. http://www.spywareinfo.com/articles/hijacked/prevent.php

My view is that making Internet Explorer "safe" by turning off all the code related options is quite a piece of work. You could follow the instructions on the above link to do this, but I would strongly recommend downloading and switching to Firefox. Firefox is a very friendly safe web browser and its approach to code within web pages is very different to IE.
