I have a vauxhall vectra 1.8 design on a 57 plate. It only has 30000 on the clock and has always had a niggling throttle lag problem. When pulling away it will think about it for split second then accelerate, by which time your foot is futher on the pedal causing the car to rev high or wheel spin when pulling away. It has been into vauxhall a few times and each time they say there is nothing wrong with it! No fault codes. So I went out with a mechanic on a test drive and he said his own vauxhall was worse and that mine wasn't bad at all. I felt it was a bit patronising of him and he said it was just the way they were built. I said that was a load of crap and that it was dangerous when icy. How do I rectify this problem if a vauxhall dealer can't even sort it?
