Peugeot 206 2.0HDi - 2003 model, speedo problem ?

Hi, I have a 2003 peugeot 206, 2.0HDi. Recently, the speedometer, the trip computer and also the oddometer have stopped working. All 3 I think are realted to a problem somewhere. All the other dials on the clock/instrument panel are perfect. The speedo needle very very occasionally flickers but no more than that. Can anyone help as to what it might be? My mobile is 07956-438463 if you need to discuss. Many thanks in advance, Sanjay.

If the trip and the mileage has stopped to register then I would suspect the speed sensor in the gearbox, however the speedo's are known to pack up on the 206 whilst everything else works, so be prepared for a new speedo (about £300 from Peugeot). MRW
