Thanks kash.
I hired a boiler technician. He tried to put a new universal thermocouple but, he didn't put that. He cleaned the inside with hoover and fired it some how wit old thermocouple and set the regulator to position 3.He told me my boiler is over heating and too much lime scale in the system. He charged 60 pounds and went. Then I turned the regulator position 4 and then the boiler went off. I phoned him he told me wait for an hour and relight it. I try to do it but now I am in the same problem, when I release the finger it goes off. He didn't come back to fire it and now saying different story. He says to put a new thermocouple and some thing else worth over 50 pounds to stop the over heating. But result is not sure. I am confused. Is he saying truth?

hi if you havent serviced it for a while the flame may not be enough to reach the flame sensor (thermocouple) you can either try cleaning the area with a hoover or may need a thermcouple or worst case the gas valve is no good but do it in the sequence as stated
