they just stopped working in the cold can any of you help with that does the fuse for the jets run seperate to the wipers?

Same thing happened to me, but washers also affected.
Fuses etc & articulation OK. Local man used diagnostic -ECU in control stalk dud. He had to send car onto main dealer for software re-programming with new stalk. Total cost £410
This is b****y ridiculous. Why does a wiper need and ECU. If I couldn't afford to have it done I have a useless car on my hands!

yes shaun i own my own garage and have come accross this fault before its a bad earth inside the wiper motor and all it needs is to be cleaned up.
