how can i fix my brakelights?

have a renault clio 1L 1991 X reg. 2 main brakelights not working. bulbs replaced but although all other lights work these remain unlit. do not have a manual with car so do not know which fuse will require to be checked. think i located fuse box on passenger side, under glove box. (I am a girl so think i've done not too bad so far !!) can you help with this?

ok , look at every fuse , make sure it has not blown (gap in middle) but dont remove any unless blown !
next if fuse's are ok suspet the brake light switch located on the brake pedal itself. usually these are quite trickey to get to.
without a multimeter you wont be able to check the switch though !
also should the fuse be blown for the brake lights , this would also mean somthing else might not be working to , like indicators or fog light , so chek to see.

good luck
