Mac 3516 fuel line?

Hi guys,
is the fuel line at the back of the little primer bulb supposed to be "crimped"? One of the lines goes to the gas tank and is crushed/crimped looking, it looks like it's always been that way but I don't know if someone else has been tampering with it or not, I bought it at a yard sale and it looked new.

There should be two pipes at the back of the purge bulb, neither of which should be crimped, one pipe will pull fuel from the metering side of the carb into the bulb, the other will push that fuel from the bulb back into the tank, it does NOT push fuel into the carb, this would just flood the machine, it is important to get the correct pipe ont the correct nozzel on the purge bulb, the longer nozzel is pressure, so should be connected to the return pipe back to the tank

The line going from the primer bulb to the gas tank is where the gas is pumped to the carb for starting. If it's crimped it's not getting all the gas that it can. If it's starting then it's probably ok. If not, that's your problem.
