kl600 non start?

hi all just bought a non start kl600 84, found low compression, found cam chain stretched well over service limit & inlet cam out bt two teeth, replaced cam chain, reset cam timing, still low compression, removed head checked for valve/piston damage nothing!! found with cam in place & fluid test valve seats, fluid runs out of inlet port, no cam no fluid. ok i cam reshim inlets but do you think i should check anything else now the head is off, cheers steve how do the valves loose there clearance??

the valve heads wear where it seats on the valve seat and also the valve seats wear that is why they work upwards as it were towards the shim bucket.you obviously need to take the valve out and lap it in with some grinding paste and i would do both of them not just the leaking one as the other will be not great too.fit new stem seals while the valves are out.The most important thing to look for is and cracks on the valve seats or on the valve guides.also a valve that has a feint ring around the edge of it looking at the big end with the flat part needs replacing as its beyong lapping.
