How can i fix my windscreen wipers on my ford galaxy?

When my windscreen wipers work after 2 or 3 times they will cut out. I can see them trying to work they just won't. Does anyone have any suggestions?

the wiper linkages have seized up and so might have the windscreen wiper motor shaft.very common issue on Galaxy's.join the owners club for more help
