Thank you SO much. The straw tactic worked for me. You need to persist but eventually you get there with it. My choice of weapon was the straw from a WD40 can and quadruple threaded cotton.

I've twice removed bra wires using a loop of strong thread passed through a fine straw.

Make a loop of thread through the straw leaving two long ends of thread sticking out the other end. Pass the loop end through a hole on the drum and hook the loop over the bra wire. Don't push the whole straw theough the hole but use the opposite end to guide the loop. Pull the thread to close the loop on the bra wire and then manipulate it so one end of the bra wire sticks through a hole in the drum. You'll need a torch to see the wire.
