My Rover 216 keeps flattening the battery?

Hi everybody, I have a Rover 216 that goes ok, however it has an immobilizer, I have the code and it works, my big problem is that if I leave the car for about 3 days the battery goes flat, does anyone have any ideas what I should check/look at in order to find the short, note : the drivers front door has no window lifting mechanism at the moment but I think its ok, thanks

first question I would ask is how old is the battery if more than 2-3 years buy a new one it may be simply no longer able to hold a charge.
another thing to check is the condition of the wires the run back from the alternator up to the battery as these have a tendancy to corrode on the Rover and this would stop the battery getting a decent recharge from alternator so if your wiring adjacent to the battery is sort of green and dodgey looking it could be this. also make sure the earth wire on battery has a good ground where it goes on to body of car if this is loose or furred up that could also cause a problem with charging.
