How can I fix problem I have with Clio Washer Motor refitting??

Hi, the car is a 99/V 1.4 Clio Alize. I detached splash guard to gain access to washer bottle and motor. Having detached and replaced the rubber pipes to check for blockages etc I decided to refit the washer motor. However, it does not seem to want to fix in securely and merely 'sits there'. Obviously the moment that I top up the washer bottle the water just forces its way past the washer motor and ends up on the floor. I have tried to push the motor back into the bottle recess, but it does not seem to locate properly. Is there a knack to refitting it?

i had same problem. there is a plastic grommit that fits in the hole of the washer bottle and the pump pushes into this with a snug fit. If you cannot see the grommit anywhere like mine it may have somehow gone into the washer bottle. I
Ended up taking washer bottle out of its position ( one highly visible screw holds it in) and hey presto there was the grommit bouncing around inside. if not here it may have fell under the washer bottle when pump was removed, if not here then a new one will be required (or scrap yard job).

I have recently encountered exactly the same problem. Did you get it sorted?? If so have you got any guide lines on how you did it??
