Sounds like the belt snapped.
To check, remove the front panel, (2 phillips hd screws @ bottom front, then swings up & off), unscrew 2 5/16 hex head
screws @ top corners, lift the top panel & then you'll either see the belt 'round the drum, or no belt at all, which means it snapped & lying on the bottom.
It snapped for a reason- either age or the drum is dragging, possibly due to worn drum roller(s)
