Rear hatch on Almera jammed shut?

Nissan Almera 2005 (05) remote locking does not release the rear hatch, all other doors work ok. Have reset functions using the plip key but still the same. Is this a fuse problem? How do I release the rear hatch if it is a mechanical failure?

not too sure but some motors use the hinges for an earth return and sometimes fail to give a good connection
