what is f18 fault on siemens washing machine

I have f18 on my machine..i cleaned the filter in front open the enlettwhere the cold water comes in filter clean too..it was in the middle of a program with a 1min to go and changed its self to another cycle for another 32mins..what do i do.. Its a siemens machine

Had this problem. Checked the filter all clear.
Solved by setting the dial to Empty and the machine started to buzz like the pump was jammed. With that still buzzing, thump the machine firmly just above the filter hatch. The pump started running again and I have not had the problem since.

iam using seimens washing machine it keeps on coming f18 errror what does it mean

Hi,

My washing machine has this F18 error. I've been able to drain the water but can't open the pump cover.

I've tried and tried to twist it open but it won't turn more than 25 degrees.

How do I open a stuck pump cover?

According to the instruction manual you need to drain the machine, open the flap on the front right hand side at the bottom, there is a black tube with a white plug in.
Remove the white plug. Be careful there is a lot of water in it. Then open the pump cover next to it and remove any debris. TURN OF THE POWER SUPPLY FIRST. I have tried all this on my new machine but it is not working, I hope it works for you.
