how can I fix my LDV Maxus 3.5 CDI van?

I have problem starting in the morning. After trying number of times it eventually starts. If I switch on & off the ignition a number of times after heater light goes off it then starts ok. I understand this model does not have heater plugs.

The Maxus does indeed have glowplugs they are under the inlet manifold and this engine although is CRD does need them when cold, my own Maxus has had a faulty glowplug for over 40k mls and it still starts ok but is a little rough until the cylinders get a bit of heat up. it the VM engine same as fitted to the Chrysler Voyager etc.

the maxus does have heater plugs and controller can fail. also could be pressure control valve on the pump so loosing rail pressure when standing - a new valve is not expensive.
