my vectra heater will only work on setting 4 and the windscreen not 1 2 and 3 the resister is in perfect working order the drain plug is not blocked, all the fuses are all right and the heater switches are ok have anybody got any idears thanks

IT WAS THE HEATER MATRIX TOOK MY CAR TO THE CAR WASH, pulled the pins out with a screw driver and pulled out the two pipes going into the matrix( dash side of engine/ into the wall) and blew high pressure water into both ends. There was trapped dirt. After it started passing clear water freely put the pipes back in and VOULA!!! HOT AIR FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE I BOUGHT IT. Dont buy new matrix one will last a life time. I did mine free.

My Vectra C 02 has heating problems. Heater works lightly when accelerator is pressed. Under the bonnet, one of the two pipes where the hot water goes leakes(seems like goes under dashbord). This car is cold ppl. What is it???

I have had this same problem in my signum and its always been the resitor, sited behind the fan- it just plugs in. Twice it was done under extended warranty and now after 18 mths I had to pay,; no damp or water anywhere. They just fail. A firm in Hull will repair them for £13-50
