empty water light stays on?

I have a Hotpoint TCM570 tumble dryer. The 'empty water' light is staying on even though the water container is empty. please advise

hi there try taking the bottom filter out and cleaning inside there maybe alot of water in there and fluff i had the same problem and done this my machine is now working fine hope this helps
