how can I disable the alarm on a 1995 rover 214SEI. The drivers door cent?

How can I disable the alarm on my 1995 rover 214SEI. The drivers door central locking doesdn't work - the others do- and when I open tghe drivders door after using the key the alarm goes off. How can I sgtop this please. Will taking out the fuse for the central locking work?
