What is the symbol on my Peugeot 206 ?

There is a symbol showing (where the radio, time and temp is displayed) it is a stick with a triangle on it and two chevrons which says 24MPH (>> 24MPH) what does this mean?

Zero reset - press the stalk for more than 2 seconds.
