handbrake keeps freezing up?

how do i stop the handbrake from freezing up on a astra

If water has got inside the handbrake cable just fit a new one.


Check/renew the handbrake return springs on the back wheels, they rust and get weak. Cheap and easy to do.

if its parked on the flat just leave it in gear,it wont go nowhere,very common problem at this time of year
