Changed vacuum belt on two; one burns the belt off, the other has no suction & starts to smoke slowly

1 the one that snaps the belt
strip down check the brush roller end caps they MUST turn FREELY on the brush spindle
2 the other one is overheating blocked motor filter/vents or possible worn motor brushes
