dash board lights not working Peugeot 205 GLD 1991?

dash board lights not working at all but fog light button heated rear window etc all light up inc heater controls have fitted after market radio but don t know if dash lights worked before peugeot 205 diesel 1991

I have exactly this same scenario in my 205 CTi. I put the question to the guy who owned it before me, he says to turn the lights on and off on the indicator stalk(basically have a fiddle) until it comes on. Let me know how you get on
