Citroen Xara speedometer needle below the pin?

after a fuel pump replacement, the speedometer needle is below the pin. My car is a Citroen Xzara 2.0ltr HDI

You have no choice other than to remove the speedo pod, (sounds difficult, but actually isnt) and tap the needle back over the pin, before replacing.
